And We’re Off

After months of dreaming and planning the moment has finally arrived! Today marks the first day of our 100-day “second honeymoon” adventure. We’ve got some serious bucket list destinations lined up, and 8 incredible countries to explore.

First stop – Cusco, Peru – the historic capital of the Inca Empire and the gateway to Machu Picchu. It’s been at the top of our travel list for years. We are so ready to dive into history, culture, and, of course, all the local food.

New Zealand – Sweet As!

In May of 2018, we went on our belated honeymoon – a 17 day trip of our dreams to New Zealand. The plan was simple. We would fly into Auckland, rent a car and drive all over the country. Dusty spent months planning to make sure we saw and did a little bit of everything. To call it a trip of a lifetime is an understatement.

An UnBelize-able Vacation

In June of 2017, we traveled to Belize. We picked Belize for the great diving. Dusty found a small resort a bit off the beaten path in Hopkins – Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort. All inclusive resorts are not normally our thing. But Hamanasi was spectacular. They offered private treehouses, an on premises PADI dive center, excellent day trips, and a romance package to boot.

Slowing it Down in Key West

In June of 2016, we loaded up the car and took a road trip to Key West. Just so you know (I didn’t until halfway through the trip), it’s over 1,000 miles! If travel is the ultimate relationship test, this road trip fit the bill for sure! The drive was great – in particular the drive south from Miami down U.S. 1

Checking Out the Pacific NW – Vancouver & Seattle

Dusty and I met in July of 2015. We took our first trip together to Vancouver & Seattle over New Year’s 2016. This was a good test for our relationship to see how our travel styles meshed. And more importantly, see how Dusty handles my morning grumpiness! Lucky for me, Dusty is the most laid back guy on the planet.
